What It Means to Be Involved
Becoming part of  New Man Connection isn’t just about showing up—it’s about showing up for yourself. Being involved means committing to growth, embracing challenges, and learning what it means to be a stronger, more confident, and better man. It’s about stepping into a community after you’re back on your feet, from living in transitional housing where you’re supported, heard, and encouraged to become the best version of yourself—not just for you but for those who rely on you.

The journey starts with a single step. So get connected and discover what’s possible when you’re a mentee, committed, to learn and grow.

Who NMC is and what we need in a volunteer / mentor

New Man Connection (NMC) needs teams of 2-4, and sometimes 6 people to mentor
men and single dads, whom we help become better men and parents. Mentor teams offer
friendship, encouragement and support. The time commitment is 7 mentor meetings in 6
months (about once a month). In these meetings, topics such as basic budgeting, goal
setting and parenting are discussed. This is a wonderful opportunity for a dad or small
group of men to care for those in need through relationship development.

What does New Man Connection do (NMC)?
• NMC helps single dad families and men experiencing homelessness and who are transitioning
to permanent housing and stability by funding some of their basic needs and providing
mentors. NMC Encourages men to connect to their families and community as men of
integrity.

• Families (Single dad with children / men are also paired with a mentor team to provide
guidance and support.

What is the mentor or mentoring team commitment?
• Form a mentor team of two to four men and fathers.

• Participate in a 30–60-minute training.

• Meet seven to nine times over a twelve-month period with your paired single dad family / mentee.

• If possible, contribute toward supporting costs through NMC.

• Provide basic budgeting guidance, relational and spiritual support and help the family /
mentee reach their personal goals.

What is NMC’s commitment to the mentor?
• Provide a training for mentors.

• Provide an outline for each mentor or group meeting.

• Provide father and family and mentor guidelines.

• Offer monthly follow-up.

Please Donate to Our Work

Supporting New Man Connection (NMC) is a way we can change our communities together. We would like to encourage those who believe in what we are doing to help bring hope to those less fortunate in our communities. Many of us count our blessings daily, and give generously to various charities, and to people in need. It’s a wonderful thing. However, we often overlook another group who also has needs: Single parents. We work with single fathers that are raising children alone, or such as a homeless man who stumbles and needs a helping hand to get back up on his feet. There are many men who are struggling out there in a variety of different situations. Some are working through personal issues, some are dealing with financial problems, and many suffer from depression. Sometimes the stress of divorce, and/or loss of a job will cause men to turn to drugs, alcohol, and other self-destructive behavior. NMC helps men recognize and deal with life-altering challenges through our mentoring program.

New Man Connection is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization EIN: 84-1399767 that
relies on individual donations. All gifted funds go directly to NMC mentoring
programs, which means that your donation will help important
projects that service dad’s and children and men. Thank you for your support in advance.
